The Role – 80%

Appsbroker is dynamic and the role is varied so you’ll get involved in a wide range of activities but here are the main customer facing things we’ll need you to do:

• Consultative delivery of Security engineering solutions
• Be enthusiastic and team orientated
• Active remediation of security findings and proactive management of the security Backlog.
• Document reviews and Security NFR support for projects
• Provide operational assistance and support to the Cloud Center of Excellence, following their strategic steer.
• Understand resilient, load balanced and secure platform systems

The Role – 20%

• Help to evolve the Security Engineering and Operations function – sharing your knowledge and skills
• Seek out opportunities to continuously improve the team’s performance, coaching and mentoring more junior members
• Learn new skills that can be applied to customer projects
• Promoting security best practices and actively seeking opportunities to embed security as far left in the delivery pipeline.

It would be great if you have (or are excited to gain)…

• Cloud Security engineering/operations experience in at least one: GCP, AWS or Azure for enterprise customers.

Previous experience in some of the following:

• Hands on experience in remediation of security issues.
• Cloud Firewalls, WAF and DDoS
• Security Logging & Monitoring, SIEM integration, Automation and IaC using Terraform.
• Threat & Vulnerability management (preferably Qualys)
• Documenting Security best practices, validating controls and provisioning guardrails.
• Mapping on-prem controls to Cloud native alternatives.
• Related industry qualifications – GCP or AWS
