Responsibilities

• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and file deliveries.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all server backups.
• Perform on-site and remote technical support.
• Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
• Maintain excellent communication with the IT Network Operations Director on all tasks and projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Escalating critical issues to senior system administrators.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• AEC + Four or more years of systems/network experience is required.
• 3-4 years of experience with Windows Server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with Juniper routers & switches and Fortinet firewalls.
• Experienced in Windows PowerShell & Bash scripting.
• Experience setting up and managing database systems such as SQL Server.
• Working knowledge in virtualization technologies (VMWare, or equivalent)
• Experience in working with configuration tools (SCCM).
• Experience working with cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
• Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a high availability environment. Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently.
• Must possess above average organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills. Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a willingness to learn.
• English speaker: English (written and spoken) is the language used 99% of the time, as work colleagues and clientele are both geographically dispersed within and outside of Romania.
