How to top-up your SIM

Top-up steps and guides for Orange and Vodafone

These are the most popular telephony service providers in Romania. If you are using a different one, please contact us and help us update the information.

Orange SIM

24Pay app

Download the 24pay app from Google Play or App Store. Link your card in the app before using it (Ukrainian cards are accepted). 24Pay can be used in English and Romanian.

Select Mobile Top Up from the main section.
Enter the phone number for the top-up.
Select the aimed product. Select Orange Opțiune if you need to directly activate a one month subscription.
Select the desired option. Check all the available Orange options for PrePay (link in Romanian).
Confirm your payment.

Orange platform

This option is only available in Romanian, Orange does not provide an English version of their platform.

In order to top-up via Orange platform you need to create an account.

Access Orange platform and follow the steps:

Choose the desired option by clicking the Continua orange button.
Enter your phone number and click on Continua.
Select Plata cu cardul, which means that you will pay by card. Click on Continua.
Fill in your invoicing data. Nume si prenume is your name, CNP/pasaport is your personal identification number, select Iasi for both Judet and Localitate, Strada is your current street and Numar is street number.
Fill in your card details and confirm the payment by clicking on Plătește folosind acest card.

Top-up code

You can pay for your top-up code (card or cash) in any Orange shop, Orange partner store or at any point where you see displayed Reîncarcare electronică PrePay.

You will receive a top-up receipt or scratch-off card with a 14-digit top-up code. Follow one of the options below to to-up your number:

Call 222, select the Recharge menu and follow the instructions.
Dial *100#, select the Recharge option and follow the instructions.
Type *122*14-digitcode# then press the Call key.

The recharge code can be used to make a single recharge. If you try to reuse a top-up code, the top-up will not work.

Special offer for Ukrainian customers

PrePay customers can opt for a special option with 60 international minutes to Ukraine, by sending the text Ukraine to 321. The option is activated free of charge, it is valid for 30 days and can be used only with an active option of 5 Eur. Read more about the special offer for Ukrainians.

300 or +40 374 300 300 – Customer support service (mostly Romanian)

222 – To find out your phone number

*100#Self Care – Tariffs, activation/deactivation options

Vodafone

Confirm your payment.

My Vodafone app

This option is only available in Romanian, Vodafone does not provide an English version of their platform.

Download My Vodafone Romania from Google Play or App Store. Make sure to link your bank card in the app before charging your number.

Follow the next steps to top-up your number:

From the main page select the Reîncarcă menu.
Select the desired option. Check all the available Vodafone options for PrePay (link in Romanian).
Select the payment method (Modalitate de plată). Select your card if you have previously linked it.
Confirm payment by clicking on Plătește.

Vodafone website

This option is only available in Romanian, Vodafone does not provide an English version of their website.

Access Vodafone website and follow the steps:

Fill in the needed data. In the box for Reîncarcă numărul add the phone number you need to charge. In the box for Email pentru chitanța electronică add your email address.
Select the aimed option. Check all the available Vodafone options for PrePay (link in Romanian).
Click on the red button Reîncarcă acum.

Top-up code

In the Vodafone shops you can pay for your top-up and receive a code. Follow one of the steps bellow to top up your account:

Call *144# or 444 or *100# and follow the instructions.
Write on your phone the top-up formula: *144*topupcode*phonenumber#.
